October 27, 2012 - The Hillsdale College celebrated Homecoming Weekend in style with a 3-0 win over Lake Superior State University Saturday evening inside Jesse Philips Arena. The win was the Charegrs' 11th in a row, and improves the team to 15-9 overall and 11-2 in the GLIAC.

Hillsdale won the sets by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-17. The team rotated most players on the roster through the lineup over the course of all three sets, with sophomore middle hitter Lindsay Kostrzewas eliciting the biggest cheers from her teammates.

Kostrzewa finished with one kill and one block assist, each coming at the end of the second set to sew up Hillsdale's 25-11 triumph.

The Charger defense dominated the Lakers with one solo block and 14 block assists as a team. Hillsdale held LSSU to a team hitting percentage of -.019 for the match.

Senior Lauren Grover had a near-perfect match offensively for Hillsdale with eight kills on 10 attempts with a .700 hitting percentage to go along with four block assists and one solo block. Freshman Emily Wolfert matched Grover's eight kills, while junior Caitlin Kopmeyer had seven kills and sophomore Kat Carpenter displayed impressive power and movement on offense with six kills.

Kopmeyer led the team with 14 digs and three service aces in the match, while sophomore Bailey Lindner added 12. Junior Sydney Lenhart handed out 18 assists, and sophomore Alexis Waugh played well with 13 assists and six digs. 

Hillsdale hits the road Tuesday for a match against conference leader Northwood University in Midland.
