USTFCCCA Division II Team Academic Awards Release

In what has become an annual tradition, the Charger women's track team was recognized by the sport's national governing body for its top-notch work in the classroom.

Hillsdale received the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Team Academic Award for the 2018-19 season. That award was granted based on the team's overall grade point average, which was well above the 3.0 threshold mandated by the USTFCCCA.

In addition to the team award, six women's track athletes were recipients of the USTFCCCA Division II Women's Track Athlete Academic Award. Each of these six women achieved an overall grade point average of 3.25 or better in 2018-19, and registered either an automatic qualifying time/mark or provisional-qualifying time/mark in their respective events.

Those athletes are: Melaine Boehm, Maryssa Depies, Allysen Eads, Arena Lewis, Abbie Porter and Calli Townsend.
