Ally Eads Named All-American!

Senior Ally Eads can add a second All-American title to her list of running accomplishments after a great weekend in Pittsburg, Kansas. She finished the mile run in 5:01.09, taking seventh at the NCAA Division II National meet. Before making it to the final race today, she ran a personal best time of 4:50.34 to place fourth in the prelim race on Friday. Her previous best time was 4:52.10.

This senior is making the most of her final year. Earlier this season she earned a personal record in the 3000m run as well, with a time of 9:54.54. She has much to look forward to as she prepares for her last outdoor track season. In 2016 she qualified for outdoor track nationals in the steeplechase and finished 23rd in all of Division II. The next year she took 18th, and last season she took 17th. Eads picked up even greater momentum and speed this indoor season to carry her to the outdoor track.

After qualifying for outdoor nationals in 2017 in the 4x400 meter relay and the 800m run in 2018, Abbie Porter made her first trip to indoor nationals this season. She ran in the prelim race of the 800m run on Friday. She took 16th with a time of 2:15.56. Porter has much to look forward to as well as she heads into the outdoor season. She ran the 800m in 2:11.23 earlier this indoor season, which is just a second off of her outdoor personal best.

These Chargers will take a little rest before gearing up for a great outdoor season ahead.
