Al Owens Classic Results

With the schedule over the next three weeks staying in the friendly confines of Hillsdale College, the Charger women's track team was deployed in two different spots on the road this weekend.

Some members of the team flew out to California to run in the Mt. SAC Relays, competing at Azusa Pacific as well as Long Beach State. Others stayed in the state of Michigan, participating at the Al Owens Classic at Grand Valley State University.

One of the best performances in California came from the 4x100 relay team, who hit at NCAA provo time of 46.88. The foursome of Ashlee Moran, Kasja Johnson, Finoa Shea and Zalonya Eby all ran excellent legs of their race at Long Beach.

Senior Hannah McIntyre got into a very tough field at Mt. SAC, running the 10,000 meter run in 34:54.

G-MAC indoor champion Abbie Porter ran the 800 meter run in 2:10.18 at Azusa, while steeplechaser Allysen Eads finished her race with a solid time of 10:34. Senior Alexandra Whitford came close to her season-best in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet, 8 inches.

The Chargers will compete at home each of the next three weekends, starting with the 52nd Annual Hillsdale College Gina Relays.
