The GVSU Track & Field Stadium will be the host of Hillsdale College's final GLIAC championship event in the sport.

The Charger teams will make the quick trek to Allendale to compete in the three-day conference championship meet, which begins with multi events Wednesday and continues through Thursday and Friday.

Thursday's championship events will primarily be long-distance running events and half of the field events. Relays and sprint events highlight Friday's championship events.

Hillsdale's men have finished in the top four in each of the past three seasons. Top GLIAC title contenders include runners Caleb Gatchell, Tanner Schwannecke, Colby Clark and Ty Etchemendy.

On the women's side, the Chargers figure to deploy a lineup that once again, can score a lot of points in a wide variety of events. Distance runners Hannah McIntyre and Molly Oren, sprinter Victoria Wichman and pole vaulter Alexandra Whitford have all registered times and marks that can be the best in the GLIAC. Senior Allison Duber is a former GLIAC champion, and is a significant factor both individually as well as part of relay events.

Over the past three years, Hillsdale has finished progressively better at the conference outdoor meet, moving from fourth to third to second from 2014-16. The women's team has scored 100 or more points at the GLIAC outdoor championships three times since 2004.
