Freshman high jumper Kristin Freeman leapt into the Charger women's track record books last weekend. Thursday afternoon, she landed her first conference award.
Freeman was named Co-Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office, a late addition to the weekly award winners.
She won the high jump event at the Northwest Ohio Invitational last Friday at Findlay, clearing 5 feet, 7 3/4 inches (1.72 meters). That mark broke a 19-year-old school record, and earned Hillsdale 10 points en route to its team championship at the 10-team event.
