The Hillsdale College women's tennis team is off to a strong start this season, posting consecutive wins in the early part of its schedule. Wednesday morning, one of its veteran players was rewarded for that good start.
Senior Katie Bell earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors. The award was chosen and announced by the conference office.
Bell, competing at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles, picked up straight set wins over Davenport Saturday night, continuing her undefeated start to the 2020 season. Bell leads the two-time defending G-MAC champions, who are 3-0 so far this season. She joins Sarah Hackman as members of this year's team who have been recognized as conference players of the week so far.
