It took less than an hour for the Hillsdale College women's tennis team to extend its winning streak to five in a row Sunday afternoon.

The Chargers defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College 5-0 in an abbreviated match on a grogeous day outdoors at the Mary Jane Delp Courts. Hillsdale, ranked 50th in Division II, is now 11-2 overall and 4-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Two singles matches were left unfinished, though Hillsdale had a wide scoring advantage at the time the match was called.

Sarah Hackman and Hannah Cimpeanu teamed up for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Kamryn Matthews and Madeline Bissett kept up their winning ways with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

Cimpeanu pitched a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 1 singles, with Hackman matching that score in a win at No. 2 singles. Senior Corinne Prost notched a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles, shortly before the match was ended due to Hillsdale's mathematical advantage.
