Chargers Shut Out Arrows to Open G-MAC Play

The Charger women's tennis team played its first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference match Sunday afternoon in Ohio against Ursuline College, and things couldn't have gone much better for Hillsdale.

The Chargers shut out the Arrows 9-0, dropping just one game across the entire nine matches in the contest. Hillsdale is now 6-4 overall and 1-0 in the G-MAC. Hillsdale is on a four-match winning streak with this victory.

All six matches in the singles flight were won by Charger players by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0. Hillsdale's winners were: Katie Bell (No. 1), Halle Hyman (No. 2), Hannah Cimpeanu (No. 3), Corinne Prost (No. 4), Kamryn Matthews (No. 5) and Madeline Bissett (No. 6).

Ursuline's No. 1 doubles did win a game, but ultimately fell in the matchup with Hillsdale's Bell and Prost 8-1. The other two doubles matches ended in 8-0 wins for the No. 2 doubles team of Hyman and Cimpeanu and the No. 3 doubles team of Bissett and Matthews.
