Chargers Celebrate Senior Class by Topping 4 Opponents

Saturday afternoon Hillsdale College hosted Tiffin University, Olivet College, Notre Dame College, and Ursuline College. Hillsdale won against every team: Ursuline College 224 - 28, Tiffin University 212 - 51, Olivet college 221 - 45, and Notre Dame College 196 - 54. Before the meet, the eight graduating seniors and their families were recognized: Victoria Addis, Bailey Bickerstaff, Lizzie Leathers, Allie Matti, Caylee McComb, Danielle Snell, Taylor Steyer, Catherine Voisin.

Senior Victoria Addis took first in both of her events. In the 50 breaststroke Addis won (32.29), sophomore Taylor Boyle second (32.84), and freshman Sydney Slepian was third (34.53). Addis again led the way in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.44) and sophomore Carissa Henderson was second (1:15.29).

The Chargers went 1-2-3 in multiple events. In the 50 backstroke junior Katherine Heeres took first (28.97), senior Bailey Bickerstaff second (29.66), and senior Allie Matti was third (30.06).

In the 100 backstroke, freshman Leah Tunney took first (1:00.19), Heeres second (1:03.70), and senior Taylor Steyer was third (1:06.36).

In the 200 IM, Heeres took first (2:19.46), freshman Marie Taylor second (2:20.34), and Matti third (2:20.41)

In the 100 butterfly, freshman Madison Pyhel took first (1:00.69), senior Catherine Voisin second (1:00.73), and sophomore Anna Clark third (1:01.33).

In the 50 butterfly, Voisin took first (28.16), sophomore Stefanie Walker second (28.27), and Bickerstaff third (28.44)

In the 200 medley relay, the senior A-relay of Matti, Addis, Bickerstaff, and Snell took first (1:54.31), the B-relay of Slepian, Breay, Fassett, and Rao second (1:54.96), and the C-relay of Steyer, Boyle, A. Clark, and Briskey third (1:56.78).

Charger sprinters won both the 50 and 100 freestyle. Junior Emma Rao And Tunney tied for first in the 50 freestyle (25.61). Taylor won the 100 freestyle (54.78), and Pyhel took second (56.54).

The 400 freestyle A-relay of Tunney, Voisin, Snell, Heeres took first (3:46.27), and the B-relay of Taylor, Fassett, Pyhel, Henderson took second (3:50.26).

In the 200 freestyle sophomore Sarah Clark took second (2:02.83) and freshman Anika Fassett third (2:05.50).
