Chargers Edge Albion Thanks to Last-Second Win

The Hillsdale College swim team hosted Albion College Friday night. The meet came down to the last relay, and the Chargers' 200 freestyle A-relay of Taylor, Henderson, Tunney, and Heeres out touched Albion by .01 (1:40.68), solidifying the team's win 141-130.

In the 1000 freestyle, the Chargers had a 1-2-3 sweep. Freshman Leah Tunney took first (10:40.10), freshman Sarah Clark second (11:10.41), and sophomore Anna Clark third (11:25.26).

Tunney continued her winning streak by taking first the 200 backstroke (2:10.20), and second in the 100 backstroke (1:00.52).

Freshman Marie Taylor won both the 50 freestyle (24.84), and 100 freestyle (54.17), and was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay.

Senior Victoria Addis won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.39).

Freshman Madison Pyhel won the 500 freestyle (5:21.39) and took second in the 400 IM (4:50.38).

In the 200 butterfly, sophomore Anna Clark took second (2:15.92), and senior Catherine Voisin took third (2:16.03).

In the 100 butterfly, senior Catherine Voisin took second (1:00.87), and freshman Anika Fassett finished third (1:01.04).

Other top swims included: sophomore Taylor Boyle third in the 200 breaststroke and a lifetime best time (2:39.22), junior Katherine Heeres third in the 100 freestyle (55.52), senior Bailey Bickerstaff third in the 200 backstroke (2:16.44).
