2018/2019: Sophomore year at the Calvin College Invitational, Emma swam lifetime best times in the 50 freestyle (12th) and 100 freestyle (16th). At the Great Midwest Conference Championships, Emma swam a lifetime best time in the 100 breaststroke (11th), and placed in the 50 freestyle (9th), 100 freestyle (18th), and 100 butterfly (19th).

2017/2018: Freshman year at the Phoenix Fall Classic held at University of Chicgao, Emma scored in three events: 50 freestyle (11th), 200 medley relay (9th), 400 freestyle relay (11th), and swam the 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 400 medley relay. At the Calvin College Invitational, Emma scored in four events: 200 freestyle relay (7th), 400 medley relay (10th), 200 medley relay (6th), 400 freestyle relay (fourteenth), and swam the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 100 butterfly. During the GMAC Conference Championships, Emma placed top 16 in four events: 100 freestyle (11th), 50 freestyle (11th), 200 freestyle relay (3rd), 400 freestyle relay (4th), and swam the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly.
