Clark's Pool Record Leads Chargers Past Olivet, Tiffin

Friday evening the Charger swim team traveled to Olivet for a tri-meet with Olivet College and Tiffin University. Hillsdale won against Olivet 147 - 57 and won against Tiffin 152 - 36. Hillsdale won every event.

Freshman Anna Clark won the 200 fly and broke the Olivet College pool record (2:13.24). Junior Bailey Bickerstaff took second (2:23.90).

Sophomore Emma Rao had her first collegiate win in the 50 freestyle (26.37) and junior Danielle LeBleu took second (26.39).

The sophomore 200 freestyle relay of Heeres, Vita, Wilkens, and Rao took first (1:45.49), the senior relay of Ellingson, Farris, Houghton, and DeTar second (1:46.40), and the freshman relay of Walker, Clark, Briskey, and Breay third (1:46.98).

Sophomores Katherine Heeres and Mary Vita swept the 200 IM with Heeres taking first (2:18.38), and Vita second (2:21.77).

In the 200 backstroke, junior Allie Matti took first (2:17.56) and junior Taylor Steyer second (2:25.38).

Freshman Maddie Breay took first in the 500 freestyle (5:30.42) and junior Lizzie Leathers second (5:47.09).

The 200 breaststroke had a 1-2 sweep by junior Catherine Voisin (2:41.89) and freshman Taylor Boyle (2:45.49).

Seniors Anika Ellingson and Suzanne DeTar swam the 1000 for the first and last time. Ellingson took first (11:44.71), and DeTar third (11:54.75).

Senior Grace Houghton won the 200 freestyle (2:04.21) and sophomore Hannah Wilkens took third (2:09.48).

Junior Catherine Voisin won the 100 freestyle (55.71), and freshman Anna Nuet finished third (58.59).

The 200 medley A-relay of Vita, Boyle, Walker, Rao took first (1:57.76).
