This weekend, four chargers traveled to Calvin College for their annual invitational meet. Eight teams competed throughout three days of competition. The weekend was a great success with a new school record and multiple first place finishes.
Katherine Heeres broke her own 100 backstroke school record with a new lifetime best (57.63) and finished seventh at finals. Heeres also had a season best in the 200 backstroke and took fifth (2:05.80) and had another fifth place in the 200 freestyle (1:55.61).
Anika Ellingson won the 100 breaststroke with a NCAA DII B-cut (1:02.66), and took fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.00).
Catherine Voisin took first in the 200 butterfly (2:06.81), ninth in the 100 butterfly with a season best time (57.62), and twentieth in the 200 IM with another season best time (2:17.04).
Emma Rao had a season best in the 50 freestyle for twelth place (24.62) and finished sixteenth in the 100 freestyle (54.51).
The 400-medley relay of Heeres, Ellingson, Voisin, and Rao finished fifth (3:55.49).
