Chargers Beat Lewis and Lose to Findlay

Chargers won against Lewis 179-83 and lost to Findlay 175-87 Saturday afternoon at University of Findlay. The distance team of sophomore Danielle Lebleu and freshman Hannah Wilkens had great swims in both the 1000 and 500. Lebleu won the 1000 (10:53.63) and took third in the 500 (5:25.19) and Wilkens finished second in the 1000 (11:02.85) and the 500 (5:20.26) and third in the 200 IM (2:16.11).
 
Freshman Katherine Heeres was only seconds off her best time in the 200 backstroke and finished second by one tenth of a second (2:09.87). Heeres had another second place in the 200 free (1:59.95) and 200 IM (2:16.11). Sophomore Catherine Voisin finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:01.29).
 
The junior class swam well the entire meet and Anika Ellingson took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.32) and the 200 breaststroke (2:26.48). Grace Houghton had a strong second place 200 butterfly (2:14.54) and Suzanne DeTar took third in the 100 freestyle (54.94) and the 50 freestyle (25.15).
 
The first 400 medley relays of the season had strong performances with the A relay of HeeresEllingson, Voisin, and DeTar finishing second (4:01.19) and the B relay of MattiAddis, Houghton, Vita finishing fourth (4:09.79). The meet concluded with the chargers Addis, Rao, LeBleu, and DeTar taking second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:42.58).
