Bio

2011-12: Produced an impressive freshman year with personal best times in the 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, and 1000 Freestyle…Posted a Hillsdale 4th top time in the 100 Freestyle, 2nd top time in the 200 Freestyle, 7th top time in the 1650 Freestyle,  took the school record time in the 500 Freestyle (5:06.03), and smashed the 1000 Freestyle Record by five seconds with a time of 10:39.47…Placed 11th in the 1000 Freestyle, 5th in the 500 Freestyle, 9th in the 200 Freestyle, member of the 800 Freestyle Relay that placed 4th and the 400 Freestyle Relay that placed 4th  and qualified for Division II B cuts in all of the previous events at the GLIAC Championships.

High School: Highly accomplished swimmer at Saline High School, specializing in relays and events ranging from the 200 free to the 500 free...Four-year letterwinner in swimming and was a member of the water polo team for three years...Earned High School All-American honors three times between 2009 and 2010, for the 400 free relay (’09, ’10) and the 200 free relay (’10)...Earned Academic All-American honors in swimming and was twice named to the Michigan Water Polo Association All-State Academic Team...Winner of the South Eastern Conference Scholastic Award in 2010...Four-time All-Conference swimmer and earned a swimming All-State award in 2009 and 2010...The 2008 conference champion in the 500 free...Holds three pool records, two of them at Ann Arbor Skyline in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay...Also holds school records in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay...Earned a total of eight top-15 finishes in various events at the MHSAA Division 1 state meet over a three-year span...Born August 2, 1993...Parents are Kevin and Susan...Earned the All A’s Award at Saline High School...Four-year member of the honor roll...Winner of the AP Scholar Award...Two-year member of the National Honor Society...Volunteered the past three years at the Saline Evangelical Home...Also volunteered at the Back Door Food Pantry and helped organize a blanket making project at Mott’s Hospital...Winner of the Woodie Merchant Award, given to a Saline High School athlete who exhibits sportsmanship, perseverance, cooperation, acceptance of criticism and concern for others.
