Bio

After an impressive playing career at the NCAA Division I level, Morgan Litwiller stepped into coaching in June of 2023, taking her first position as an assistant coach with the Hillsdale College women’s basketball team.

Litwiller comes to Hillsdale after playing for four years at Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference, earning a letter and starting at least 10 games in all four campaigns with the Panthers. She also played under current Hillsdale College head coach Brianna Brennan for two seasons, as Brennan worked as an assistant for the Panthers in both 2019-20 and 2020-21 before coming to Hillsdale.

Helping the Panthers to a 21-8 campaign, their most wins since 2011-12, as a senior in 2022-23, Litwiller set career highs in starts (27), points per game (8.9), rebounds per game (5.2) and assists per game (1.9). During her career with Eastern Illinois, Litwiller had a career-high scoring game of 28 points at Tennessee-Martin as a junior, and twice tied the Panthers’ program record for 3-pointers in a single game with seven against both the Skyhawks in 2021-22 and against Tennessee State in 2022-23. Litwiller also earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2022-23 and the OVC Academic Medal of Honor in 2020-21.

On top of her playing career, Litwiller also served as an Athletics Intern at Eastern Illinois University in her final semester of school, and worked as an instructor at the OPS Basketball Showcase in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as well as a personal basketball trainer for aspiring basketball players throughout her college career.

Litwiller came to Eastern Illinois from Northridge High School in northern Indiana, where she led the Raiders to four straight conference titles, graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, and was named the Player of the Year by both the Elkhart Truth and the Goshen News as a senior. She graduated from Eastern Illinois in 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management, and a minor in Business Administration.
