The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's basketball team has won 31 straight games on its home court, and showed why on Saturday afternoon.

The Charger women jumped out to an early 15-10 lead, but saw KWC slowly take over through the final three quarters to come away with an 88-63 win over Hillsdale. The Chargers are now 6-17 overall.

The outside shots were falling early for Hillsdale, who came out with poise against the G-MAC's best team on its home court. But the Panthers went on a 13-4 run to close out the quarter. Hillsdale came back to tie it in the second, but another KWC run opened some distance between the teams, distance Hillsdale was unable to chip away at as the second half wore on.

Sophomore guard Lauren Daffenberg has been shooting the ball well of late, and had one of her better games on Saturday. She tied a single-game career-high with six made 3-point field goals, sharing team scoring honors with 18. Sophomore Grace Touchette also scored 18 points, going 7-for-15 from the floor.

The Panthers, one of the fastest teams in Division II, scored 17 fast-break points and outscored the Chargers 24-5 on points off turnovers.

Freshman Sydney Mills had six assists, a career-high, and Sydney Anderson, playing her final regular season game in her home state of Kentucky, had 10 points and 9 rebounds.
