Box score

The Hillsdale College women's basketball team suffered its second loss of the season in Big Rapids, Michigan on Thursday night, as Ferris State University won 85-59.

The Bulldogs started with a 19-0 run in the first quarter, a lead the Chargers couldn't overcome. Senior guard Sydney Anderson earned Hillsdale its first two points after draining two free throws. She went on to score 10 points and snag three rebounds. Freshman guard Cournty Krol put together a well-roudned performance in her Hillsdale College debut. She had seven points, five rebounds, and four assists.

After ending the half down by 23 points, it became a game of catch-up for the Chargers. They finally got things rolling in the fourth quarter when they outscored the Bulldogs 25-21. They started out with a free throw and back-to-back three pointers by sophomore guard Grace Touchette and senior center Julia Wacker. Touchette led the team in scoring with 13 points, while adding in four rebounds and one assist. Half of the team's eight three-point shots were made in the fourth quarter alone.

Hillsdale will be on the road again Saturday to take on the Lake Superior State Lakers for a 4 p.m. tipoff.
