Trio of Seniors Named All-Conference

2019 G-MAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Release

The three 1,000-point scorers on the 2018-19 Charger women's basketball team are each taking home some hardware from tonight's postseaosn banquet.

Seniors Brittany Gray and Allie Dewire were each named First-Team All-Conference while senior Makenna Ott earned Second-Team All-Conference recognition. Dewire was also named to the All-Defensive Team as part of the all-conference banquet, held on the campus of Walsh University.

Gray was named G-MAC Player of the Week twice during the regular season and set Hillsdale's single-season 3-pointers made record (83) in the Chargers' tournament quarterfinal win at Findlay Tuesday night. She's averaging 13.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 36 percent from 3-point land.

Dewire has been a driving force in the Chargers' success throughout her career. As the team's starting point guard, she is averaging 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, while leading the team with 38 steals. She scored 26 points in Hillsdale's conference tournament win over Findlay on Tuesday.

Ott, one of the most consistent players on the team over the course of her four-year career, has enjoyed a strong all-around season, averaging 13.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. She plays nearly 33 minutes per game and has amassed seven double-doubles this year. In 2017-18, she recorded the first triple double in the past 15 years of Hillsdale College women's basketball.
