Brittany Gray Named G-MAC Player of the Week

The Charger women's basketball team is starting to find the groove that led it to the 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship. Leading that surge is senior forward Brittany Gray.

Monday afternoon, on Christmas Eve, Gray was named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This was the second time in her career, and first time this season, she has won the award.

Hillsdale put together back-to-back wins over key G-MAC rivals Lake Erie and Ursuline heading into the Christmas Break, and in the win over the Arrows, Gray was a driving force. She scored a season-high 24 points while making six 3-point field goals. Her six made threes tied a single-game career-high, and she added 8 rebounds and 4 steals to her performance.

She won G0MAC weekly honors following the completion of the conference tournament last season, where she averaged 15.3 points and four made 3-pointers per game in leading the Chargers to the tournament title. Her 144 made 3-pointers has her tied for fifth in school history and she's closing in on 1,000 career points, with 812 at this point in the season.
