The Hillsdale College women's basketball team packed about five season worth of fun into Saturday's home game against Lake Erie College.

An individual milestone was met and a new team record was established as the Chargers blew out the Storm 103-50 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup at Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena. The win makes Hillsdale 14-9 overall and 12-7 in conference play.

The Chargers set a team record with 16 made 3-point baskets, breaking the old record of 15 set back on January 23, 2010. The record-setting basket was made by redshirt-freshman forward Amaka Chikwe, which was her first made 3-point basket of the season.

The 103 points scored was the most by a Charger women's basketball team in a regulation game since it scored 110 against Siena Heights on December 7, 2002. It was the team's first 100-point game in more than eight years.

And finally, senior center Allie Dittmer joined an elite club, scoring her 1,000th career point, that fittingly, came on a 3-point basket in the fourth quarter. A capable, if rare 3-point threat, Dittmer entered the game needing 17 points to meet that mark and she scored exactly that on a memorable day for her and her team.

Dittmer is the 13th player in women's basketball school history to score 1,000 career points, and the first to do so since Megan Fogt during the 2014-15 season.

Hillsdale also set a school record with 30 first-quarter points, as the team started raining threes down on the Storm right off the bat. The Chargers led 30-14 after one, then held Lake Erie to just 10 second-quarter points, taking a 55-24 lead into halftime.

After a fairly even third quarter, Hillsdale put this one away by outscoring Lake Erie 29-8 in the fourth quarter, with non-starters getting most of the minutes.

Some of the team's younger players also set new career-highs in scoring. Sophomore Sydney Anderson buried four 3-point baskets and scored a career-high 14 points in 16 minutes for Hillsdale. Sophomore Bree Porter had a career-high 10 points and 3 assists off the bench.

Dittmer had 8 rebounds to go with her team-high 17 points. Junior Makenna Ott, a likely future member of the 1,000-point club, had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 22 effective minutes on the court. Junior Brittany Gray hit three 3-point baskets in the first quarter, accounting for all 9 of her points. Freshman guard Jaycie Burger also scored 9 and tallied a career-high 8 assists for the Chargers.
