2019 Island Lake NSCA Competition

The Hillsdale College Shotgun Sports Team traveled to Brighton, Michigan’s Island Lake Recreation Area for a monthly registered NSCA shoot on November 9th. Although not a team competition, the shooters individually shot well in the sporting clays shoot.

Freshman Brad Lehman finished 2nd in AA Class with a score of 85/100. With 86/100, sophomore Anthony LaMacchia took 1st in A Class. In B Class, freshman Woodrow Glazer shot 82/100 earning him a 2nd place finish. Sophomore Thomas Rodgers (87/100), senior Lucas Pieraccini (86/100), and junior Barrett Moore (78/100) took 1st through 3rd in C Class. Sophomore Brandon Korhonen earned 1st in D Class with a score of 79/100 followed in 2nd place by Ida Brown with 76/100.

The team had all of the top shooters in the Junior age category, led by Rodgers, Pieraccini, and LaMacchia. Brown was the high lady followed by junior Kylar Kuzio (71/100) who took 3rd.

The team will next travel to the Nashville Gun Club in Tenessee to compete in the ACUI Eastern Super Shoot from November 16-17. This will be the final event for the Fall season.
