Six members of the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference champion Charger softball team were recently recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their high level of work in the classroom.

Recent graduates Katie Kish and Amanda Marra, seniors Victoria Addis and Sydney San Juan, junior Emma Johnson and sophomore Elaine Townley were all named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for the 2019 season. Those six joined a total of 1,769 Division II softball players who were also recognized as All-American Scholar Athletes.

Players must carry an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher at the end of the 2018-19 school year to be eligible for this recognition. Kish, Marra, San Juan, Addis and Johnson were all key parts of Hillsdale's back-to-back G-MAC championship teams while Townley will compete for a starting infield spot for the 2020 campaign.
