Kish, Marra Earn All-Conference Recognition

2019 G-MAC Softball All-Conference Release

Over their four-year career, Katie Kish and Amanda Marra have been close teammates and mainstays in the Hillsdale College softball lineup.

On the eve of their final conference tournament together, they were recognized for their excellence.

Kish was named First-Team All-Great Midwest while Marra earned Second-Team honors at the conference postseason banquet, held Wednesday night in Akron, Ohio.

Both Kish and Marra have been four-year starters for Hillsdale and their individual skills have translated not only into impressive team accomplishments, but a number of individual ones for each of them.

This is the third consecutive First-Team All-Conference honor for Kish in her incredible career. A starting outfielder and leadoff hitter, Kish is batting .409 this season with 61 hits, tied for ninth-most in a single season in school history. She has 31 runs scored, 4 doubles, 3 triples and 21 RBI on the year. Kish was a 2018 NCAA Division II All-American and a First-Team All-Region selection after helping to lead the Chargers to the G-MAC tournament championship.

Kish resides in fourth place in school history in career hits (209), runs scored (110) and stolen bases (41).

Marra has been a steady presence throughout her entire career at second base, giving the team excellent defense at that position as well as power hitting that's improved throughout her career. She now ranks sixth in school history with 171 career hits and is tied for 10th place with 31 career doubles. In 2019 Marra is batting a career-best .366 with 22 RBI, 13 doubles and just 12 strikeouts in 153 at bats. Her 56 total hits this season exceed her previous single-season career-high by 14 and her batting average is 13 points higher than her previous single-season best.
