Humes Leads Charger Men at MSU

Junior Joseph Humes lead the way for the Charger men's cross country team again at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing Friday afternoon.

Running with the lead pack for much of the race, he earned a 13th-place finish with a time of 25:33.0, which is nearing his personal best for an 8k race.

The Chargers competed against 21 schools and 250 runners. The team came in 9th overall with a team point total of 260. Michigan State took first with a score of 55, with the University of Michigan second at 58 points.

Following Humes was sophomore Mark Miller in 59th place, crossing the finish line in 26:47.4. 

Brothers Senior Eli and junior Eric Poth competed in their first collegiate cross country race together. Eli finished in 82nd in 27:25.0 and Eric earned 114th in 28:11.5. 

Sophomore Morgan Morrision split the pair of brothers, coming in 99th place with a time of 27.47.7.
