Hillsdale Stays Unbeaten With Win Over Lewis

Hillsdale Stays Unbeaten With Win Over Lewis

Box score

Late nights, early mornings, apparently the time of day doesn't matter for the undefeated Hillsdale College men's tennis team. The Chargers find ways to win no matter the time or location this season.

Playing a tough Lewis University team early Sunday morning, the Chargers dominated singles play to pick up a 4-2 win over the Flyers to move to 5-0 on the season.

The Flyers opened play by winning the doubles point, overcoming a 6-0 win by Hillsdale's No. 3 combo of Tyler Conrad and Julien Clouette.

But once singles play began, Hillsdale took over, winning four of the five completed matches, clinching the win before the No. 4 singles match could be finished.

Charlie Adams set the tone with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. Ivanhoe Lissanevitch was a 7-5, 6-3 winner at No. 2 singles, giving Hillsdale two key wins at the top of the singles flights.

Conrad and Clouette each wrapped up perfect weekends with singles wins. Both players recorded 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
