The Hillsdale College men's tennis team lost just two games en route to a 7-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan outdoors Sunday afternoon. The win keeps the Chargers in first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (3-0) and improves their record to 13-5 on the season.
Some history was made early in the day when the No. 1 doubles team of Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams recorded its 6-1 win. It was the 100th overall victory in Hyman's career, the first Charger to hit that milestone since the team was reborn prior to the 2015-16 school year.
Brian Hackman and Michael Szabo recorded a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, clinching the doubles point for Hillsdale.
John Ciraci took a turn at No. 1 singles, his first match in that slot this year, and was successful, winning 6-0, 6-0. Hackman's win at No. 2 singles was by the exact same score. Gabe Katz took home a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, while senior Jerry Hewitt was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 4 singles.
