Men's Tennis in Florida for Spring Break Matches

The Hillsdale College men's tennis team is spending most of its spring break on the courts, playing in a series of three matches in the state of Florida.

Its slate began Saturday in Orlando with a 6-1 neutral site win over Millersville University. Monday, the Chargers fell to St. Leo 5-2.

In the win over Millersville, the Chargers got more good performances from the entire lineup. Charlie Adams won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 7-5 and with Justin Hyman at No. 1 doubles 6-2. John Ciraci and Brian Hackman were also double winners, with Ciraci winning a long match at No. 3 singles 6-3, 4-6, 10-8. Hackman took home a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. Earlier, they teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles.

Michael Szabo and Gabe Katz were 6-2 winners at No. 3 doubles, with Katz earning a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.

Against St. Leo Monday, Szabo and Katz each won singles matches. Szabo was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 4 singles while Katz won by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
