The domant team in the early part of the 2019 G-MAC men's tennis slate has been Hillsdale College. And players on the team, one by one, are being recognized for their excellence on the court.
Junior Julien Clouette is the latest, having been named the G-MAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week Wednesday night. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.
Clouette went undefeated last week in helping the Chargers to a pair of terrific wins over GLIAC foes, 5-2 versus Purdue-Northwest Saturday and 4-3 against 22nd-ranked Ferris State Sunday. His wins were crucial for the Chargers to get the doubles scoring edge over the Pride on Saturday, and to help make up a 1-0 deficit against the Bulldogs Sunday.
Clouette is 7-1 overall in the spring season and is 4-0 in doubles competition.
