As the regular season got fully underway last weekend for the Hillsdale College men's tennis team, one of its best players led the way to a good start.
Thursday night, that same player was recognized as the conference's best for the second time this year.
Junior Charlie Adams, who went 4-0 last week, was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. The award was chosen and announced by the conference office.
Adams started the spring season playing in the No. 1 singles flight and No. 1 doubles flight last weekend. He compiled a perfect record, winning both of his singles matches in straight sets over Ashland University and Davenport University.
This is the second time Adams has won the award this year and fifth time overall dating back to last season. This is the 30th G-MAC player of the week award won by a Charger athlete this school year, and Adams is the sixth athlete to win the award multiple times.
