Adams Named G-MAC Player of the Week for Third Time

As the Hillsdale College men's tennis team has raced to the top of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings, so have individual players been rewarded throughout the team's current winning streak.

Sophomore Charlie Adams is just the latest.

For the third time in the 2017-18 academic year, Adams has been named the G-MAC Player of the Week. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

In helping to lead Hillsdale to a 5-0 G-MAC record, Adams is on a seven-match winning streak in singles competition and a five-match winning streak, four of those wins with Justin Hyman. As a doubles team, Adams and Hyman are currently ranked 34th in the nation.

Last week, Adams won at No. 1 doubles 8-4 over Cedarville, and was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles, both as part of an 8-1 win over Cedarville.
