Hillsdale Blanks Davis & Elkins in Men's Tennis Action

The Charger men's tennis team is on a roll, starting off the conference season 2-0 with its second 9-0 victory of the campaign Sunday.

Hillsdale shut out Davis & Elkins 9-0 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup in West Virginia, improving to 6-6 on the season. In the win, Hillsdale outscored the Senators 24-4 in the three doubles matches and won five singles matches in straight sets.

Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams were 8-0 winners at No. 1 doubles, a score matched by the No. 3 doubles team of Milan Mirkovic and Julien Clouette. Dugan Delp and John Ciraci took home an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

Mirkovic made quick work of his foe at No. 1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2. Hyman won his No. 3 singles match by the same score, while sophomore Michael Szabo was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 5 singles. Freshman Gabe Katz was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 6 singles for Hillsdale.
