Men's Tennis Records Big-Time Conference Win at Walsh

The Charger men's tennis team picked up a big road victory over a fellow contender for Great Midwest Athletic Conference leader honors Saturday night.

Hillsdale defeated Walsh University 7-2 in a conference matchup in North Canton, Ohio. With the win, the Chargers are 5-6 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The three doubles teams got the Chargers off to a great start, winning all three matchups. Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams rolled to an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. John Ciraci joined forces with Dugan Delp for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, while Milan Mirkovic and Julien Clouette were 8-2 winnera at No. 3 doubles.

The depth the Chargers have was shown by some impressive wins in the middle singles flights. Adams won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Hyman also took home a win in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 singles. Delp was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 4 singles while freshman Gabe Katz won a long match at No. 6 singles, winning the third set 10-7.
