Box Score

The longest match of the 2017-18 season ended in frustrasting fashion for the Hillsdale College men's tennis team.

Four singles matches went the full three sets, but they went the way of the visitors, Tiffin University, in a 5-4 win over the Chargers Wednesday night at the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center. Tiffin is now 7-6 on the season while Hillsdale fell to 4-6.

No. 1 singles player Milan Mirkovic made short work of his opponent, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. But the matches at singles flights 2, 3, 4 and 6 all required a third set. Hillsdale's Charlie Adams was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 5-7, 6-2. However, the Dragons rallied to win each of the last four singles matches, coming from behind to post the win.

John Ciraci and Dugan Delp teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles, while the No. 3 doubles combo of Mirkovic and Julien Clouette cruised to an 8-3 win.
