Moving up gradually through all four rounds of the Doc Spragg Invitational in Ohio, the Hillsdale College golf team finished 10th at the two-day event, hosted by the University of Findlay.
Hillsdale finished with a total score of 899, finishing 4 strokes ahead of 11th-place Findlay and only one behind G-MAC rival Trevecca Nazarene. There were several teams finishing within close range of one another where the Chargers landed. Fifht-place Tiffin finished 9 strokes better than Hillsdale, a pretty small margin over a three-round event.
For the second straight event, Ryan Zetwick led the Chargers, finishing with a total score of 217. His round scores were 72, 71 and 74, showing excellent consistency across all of the rounds. Josh Davenport was second on the team with a 222, going 73-75-74, while George Roberts made his 2019-20 debut with a 225, highlighted by back-to-back rounds of 72 in the second and third rounds of the event.
Carson Stohler also made his first appearance in Charger blue, carding a 235 in the invitational.
