A rain-soaked Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship event affected every golf team on site in Lexington, Kentucky this week.

Hillsdale College ended up finishing third at this year's conference event, hosted by the University Club of Kentucky. The team finished with a three-round score of 900, eight shots behind second-place Findlay.

Trevecca Nazarene won this year's G-MAC title with a three-round score of 881. The Oilers were second with an 892 while Malone took fourth with a 902.

It rained through most of the two days of the tournament in Kentucky, playing havoc with players from all teams. Part-way through Friday's action, the Chargers rose to as high as second place and were within four shots of the lead. Then, the weather impacted teams and the leaderboard was thrown into chaos, and scores soared above par for everyone.

One Charger who turned in an impressive performance was Ryan Zetwick, who lowered his score in all three rounds. He finished tied for first on the team and tied for eighth overall with a score of 224. His scores went from 77 to 75 to 72, finishing strong.

Senior Liam Purslowe tied Zetwick's overall score of 224, dropping nine strokes on his third-round score compared to his round-two score. His weekend total went 75-79-70—224.

Freshman Josh Davenport put together a steady performance throughout, finishing with a 228, carding scores of 75, 77 and 76. George Roberts finished two shots behind Davenport with a 230. Roberts started out strong, shooting a team-best 73 on Friday's opening round.

Logan Anuszkiewicz rounded out the team's top five with a 242.

Hillsdale is ranked sixth in this week's Midwest Region, and will await its fate at qualifying for the NCAA Tournament this week.
