Charger Golf Team Wraps Up Fall Play Finishing 6th in Miami

In sunny and hot Miami, Florida, the Hillsdale College golf team finished up the fall portion of its schedule by participating at the Miami Intercollegiate this week, hosted by Nova Southeastern and held at the Trump Doral Golf Course.

The Chargers finished sixth at the 10-team event with a three-round score of 868. Host Nova Southeastern took first place with an 842, followed by Saint Leo (849) and Central Oklahoma (853).

As a team, Hillsdale strung together identical rounds of 287 in the first two rounds, then finished up Tuesday with a 294. 

Ryan Zetwick shot a 214 at the event to finish 14th overall and first on the team. His opening round 69 was the best single-round score of his career, and he followed that up with a 75 and a 70. The two best rounds of his career came at this event.

Liam Purslowe was right behind Zetwick, finishing 15th with a three-round score of 215. He alos carded a round of his, his second of the event, inbetween rounds of 70 and 76.

Josh Davenport was third on the team and tied for 24th overall with a 220. He finished two shots ahead of teammate Andrew Grayson, who shot three rounds of 74 each to finish at 222.
