2018 G-MAC Men's Golf Championship Final Results

From start to finish, the Hillsdale College golf team stayed near the top of both the team and individual leaderboard throughout this week's 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships.

Play wrapped up Wednesday at the Four Bridges Country Club in Liberty Township, Ohio, with Hillsdale finishing fourth at the 11-team event. Hillsdale's three-round team score was 909. The Chargers were one stroke behind third-place Kentucky Wesleyan.

The University of Findlay won the conference title with a score of 889. Trevecca Nazarene placed second with an 896.

Leading the way for Hillsdale was Liam Purslowe, who was brilliant throughout the week. He started out red-hot, shooting a first-round 68 to lead all players. He ended up finishing tied for second overall at the G-MACs with a three-round score of 221. He shot 78 and 75 over his final two rounds, and was just one stroke away from being the conference individual champion.

Ryan Zetwick put together his best round of the spring season with his first-round score of 73, eventually finishing second on the team and 14th overall with a tournament score of 228.

Hillsdale's final three golfers - Henry Hitt, Andy Grayson and Joe Torres - all finished within two strokes of one another. Hitt shot 75-78-78--231, with Grayson carding a 78-80-74--232. Torres was consistent through the tournament, shooting 78-77-78--233.

Grayson's 74 was the best by anyone on the Chargers over the tournament's last two rounds.
