The Hillsdale College men's golf team showed steady signs of progress in its latest event, held in Tennessee.
The Chargers finished in eighth place in a 14-team field at the Tennessee River Rumble, held at Tennessee National, located in Loudon. Hillsdale had a team score of 632 in the Monday-Tuesday event.
Steve Sartore and Logan Kaufman each shot a 157 over the two days to lead the Chargers. Both improved greatly on their scores in round two compared to round one. Sartore shot an 82-75, while Kaufman carded an 80-77.
Two other Chargers - Matt Chalberg and Joe Torres - each had sub-80 rounds in Monday's opening round, scoring a 76 and 79, respectively. Chalberg was third on the team in the event with a 160, while Torres finished with a 162. Brad Mitzner rounded out Hillsdale's scorers with a 167.
