The women's basketball team's home schedule comes to a close with Thursday night's game versus Cedarville...Hillsdale has three total games remaining on the season, with contests at Ursuline Saturday and at Findlay Feb. 29...Sophomore guard Lauren Daffenberg continues to cliumb the ladder in Hillsdale's single-season 3-pointers made list...She has 62, good for fourth-most in a season entering play this week...She currently ranks 5th in the G-MAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.330) and is second in total 3-point field goals made...Sophomore guard Grace Touchette has cranked up the scoring of late, notching three 20-point games since Jan. 25...She's averaging 18.3 points per game over her last six, highlighted by a career-high 24-point performance against Tiffin last week...Freshman Sydney Mills is the first Charger freshman to grab 160 or more rebounds since Beth Hilbink in 1993-94.

It figures to be another dramatic and special weekend at Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena as the Charger men's basketball team looks to keep its winning ways going...Thursday Hillsdale hosts red-hot Cedarville, winners of eight in a row in a matchup of teams that will host first round G-MAC Tournament games March 3...Saturday Hillsdale will host Senior Day, honoring its five graduating players before a 3:00 tipoff vs. Tiffin...One of those seniors, Dylan Lowry, sits just 2 points shy of 1,000 for his career...Thursday's game is the only regular season matchup between the Chargers and Yellow Jackets...Hillsdale is 6-0 all-time vs. Cedarville...The Yellow Jackets have put together an incredible campaign, highlighted by three overtime victories in which it trailed by 20 or more points...The top four teams in the G-MAC standings are separated by just one game, between first-place Findlay (12-2) and fourth-place Cedarville (11-3)...The latest point system standings has Hillsdale second and Cedarville third, with the two teams separated by just .06 points...Counting the March 3 quarterfinal game, Hillsdale is in the middle of five straight home games, a streak that got started with a pair of impressive wins last week, 84-74 over Walsh and 79-67 over Ohio Dominican, teams whom the Chargers had gone 1-8 against combined over the past nine total meetings.
