Larson, Lowry Earn All-Conference Honors

2018-19 G-MAC Men's Basketball All-Conference Release

A pair of Hillsdale College men's basketball players picked up some awards as they prepare to continue playing deep into this week's conference tournament.

Sophomore forward Davis Larson was named First-Team All-Conference while junior guard Dylan Lowry earned Second-Team All-Conference accolades. The awards were presented Thursday night at the G-MAC postseason banquet, held on the campus of the University of Findlay.

Larson enjoyed a breakout season in 2018-19, his first as a starter. He is averaging 12.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 53 percent from the floor. He also has 54 assists and 38 steals with just 31 turnovers, making him one of the most responsible players on the team.

Lowry became a go-to player on offense and leads the team averaging 13 points per game so far this season. He's an 84 percent free throw shooter and has hit 47 3-point baskets this year. His value was never more evident than it was in Tuesday night's thrilling tournament quarterfinal win over Lake Erie. He scored the team's final 8 points in a 60-59 win over the Storm that allowed the Chargers to move onto the conference semifinals.
