OVERVIEW
- The Chargers are red-hot as they head out for their trip through the southern part of the conference, taking on Kentucky Wesleyan Thursday and Trevecca Nazarene - in Nashville - Saturday
- Thanks to its win at Findlay last Saturday, Hillsdale is tied for first place in the G-MAC with an 8-2 record
- That win was Hillsdale's first over the Oilers at Croy Gymnasium in 17 years
- Despite giving up 82 points in the 93-82 win over Findlay, the Chargers still lead the conference in points allowed per game (64.7)
- The G-MAC's best defense will take on the 11th (KWC) and 12th-ranked (TNU) offenses in the conference this week
- The Chargers beat the Trojans by just 3 in Nashville last year (76-73) and lost in overtime at Kentucky Wesleyan...Hillsdale beat both teams at home, by an average of 14 points per game
- Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene will visit Hillsdale in the final week of the regular season Feb. 28-March 2
- Chargers' sophomore forward Davis Larson set career-highs in both points (24) and blocked shots (3) in last weekend's win over Findlay
- Larsaon became the first player on this year's team to be named G-MAC Player of the Week, an honor he earned Monday night
- Since returning to the lineup in December, sophomore Austen Yarian has played terrific basketball, averaging 11.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 62 percent from the field
- After this trip, Hillsdale will play three straight home games - Jan. 31 vs. Tiffin, Feb. 2 vs. Cedarville and Feb. 9 vs. Findlay
