The Charger men's basketball team battled hard, but fell 72-63, in an exhibition game at Division I University of Toledo Saturday afternoon.
This was a well-played game on both ends. The teams combined for just 18 turnovers and the Chargers drained 11 3-point baskets as a team.
Senior guards Harrison Niego and Nate Neveau each scored 14 points to lead the team. Neveau hit three 3-point baskets while Niego came off the bench to make four 3-pointers.
Toledo shot 47 percent from the floor and held a 36-29 lead at halftime. The Rockets also had a big edge on the boards, 42-26 including 10 offensive rebounds.
Gordon Behr led the Chargers with 5 rebounds, and guard Dylan Lowry scored 7 in a starting role.
