The Hillsdale College Athletic Department regrets to announce that the Saturday, March 27 home football contest against Lake Erie will not be played as scheduled. Lake Erie is unavailable to travel this weekend.
Both athletic departments have not ruled out rescheduling the contest for a later date, but there are no current plans to make up the game at this time. If a reschedule date can be found, the Hillsdale College Athletic Department will notify the public of the new date on hillsdalechargers.com.
The new next contest on the schedule for the Hillsdale College football team is a home game against Tiffin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 3.
In addition, Hillsdale College would like to announce the following schedule changes in other sports:
- The Hillsdale College softball team's home opener against Ohio Valley scheduled for Sunday, March 28 has been postponed to April 20. In its place, the Chargers will travel to Lake Erie this Saturday, March 27, for a doubleheader that has been moved up from its original April 25 date.
- The Hillsdale College baseball team's road series at Malone this weekend has been changed from a Friday/Saturday schedule to a Saturday/Sunday schedule. The Chargers will play the Pioneers in a doubleheader this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Thurman Munson Stadium in Canton, Ohio, and will finish the series with a doubleheader on Sunday at noon at Minerva Middle School in Minerva, Ohio.
- The Hillsdale College men's and women's track and field teams are no longer competing in the Adidas Winthrop Invitational this weekend. The Charger track and field teams will still be in action on Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invite in Cedarville, Ohio.
