No backpacks will be allowed in the stadium. For special circumstances, bags will be subject to search at the gate.

Areas included in the above Tailgating Guidelines document to take note: 

  • Tailgating and picnicking are only approved for: (a) Parking Lot F6, and the practice football fields; (b) Parking Lots E 2; Parking Area B2 (c) (The grass area near Risley Hall).
  • Tailgating hours are (3) hours before the start of the authorized event, halftime intermissions, and (1) hour following the conclusion of the sporting event.
  • Tailgating must incorporate food into the activity. Non-alcoholic beverages must be provided at the event for those who do not wish to consume alcohol. It is further assumed that alcohol will be used in responsible and lawful ways.
  • Only those individuals who are 21 years of age or older may possess, consume, transport, or store alcoholic beverages. No person or group shall provide alcoholic beverages to anyone less than 21 years of age.
  • The following items are prohibited: liquor and spirits, beer kegs, party balls, multi-quart containers of beer, etc. Drinking games and all associated drinking paraphernalia are prohibited. All alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages must be in cans, plastic bottles, or containers made of Styrofoam, plastic, or a like substance. Glass beverage containers are prohibited.

  • For the first time in eight years, the Hillsdale College football team has qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs
  • The Chargers are the #5 seed in Super Region 1 and will travel to #4 seed Kutztown in the first-ever meeting between these programs
  • This marks Hillsdale's third appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs (2009, 2010)...The Chargers are 1-2 all-time in the NCAA Division II playoffs, with a win over Minnesota State-Mankato and losses to Grand Valley State and St. Cloud State
  • Both teams played overtime games this year that were decided by 1 point: Kutztown beat Edinboro 33-32 on Nov. 10, and Hillsdale lost at Michigan Tech 31-30 on Sept. 8
  • Kutztown QB Collin DeGalbo is a force to be reckoned with...He was fourth in total offense in the PSAC this year with 464 rushing yards and 2,092 passing yards...His passer rating of 150.7 was third-best in the conference
  • The Golden Bears were second in the PSAC in scoring offense, averaging 39.2 points per game...They will match up against a Hillsdale defense that was #1 in the G-MAC in fewest average points per game allowed on the season (19.1 points per game)
  • The Charger defense allowed 26 touchdowns this season, four fewer than anyone else in the G-MAC...Their 17 interceptions also led the conference this year
  • Senior QB Chance Stewart needs 108 passing yards to become Hillsdale's all-time leader in career passing yards, surpassing Troy Weatherhead...Stewart and Weatherhead are the only quarterbacks in school history to start an NCAA Division II playoff game for the Chargers
  • Senior WR Trey Brock is Hillsdale's all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns...He's currently 8th in NCAA Division II in receiving yards per game
