THE SERIES: This is the first-ever meeting between these programs.

OVERVIEW: As Hillsdale moves through its first season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, new rivalries begin...One such game kicks off at noon Saturday as the Chargers meet Alderson Broaddus University for the very first time...AB is located in Philippi, West Virginia, making this the longest road trip of the season for Hillsdale...The Battlers lost a 53-13 home decision to Ohio Dominican last week, while Hillsdale snapped a two-game losing streak with a 38-0 win over Walsh...Hillsdale has recorded two shutout victories in the same season for the first time since 1996...With one reception Saturday, junior WR Trey Brock will set the single-season G-MAC record for catches...His 57 receptions is currently tied with Keenan Cole for most in a season in conference history...Cole, a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan, currently plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars...Junior QB Chance Stewart is just the third quarterback in school history to have two seasons of more than 2,000 yards passing...He needs 6 passing yards to climb into fifth place on the Chargers' career passing yards list...Hillsdale has the G-MAC's best rush defense, allowing just 121.2 yards per game this season...Last week the pass defense took center stage, intercepting a season-high three passes while allowing Walsh just 53 yards through the air for the game...Junior safety Wyatt Batdorff is second in the G-MAC with 72 total tackles this season, and led the team with 13 last week vs. the Cavaliers...Sophomore DB Jason McDonough has interceptions in each of the last two games...With a win this week, Hillsdale can equal its win total from both 2015 and 2016.
