THE SERIES: Hillsdale leads the all-time series with the Cavaliers 1-0...Despite being in the same conference each year since 2012, these two programs never met until Sept. 10, 2016, when Hillsdale earned a 28-10 home win over the Cavaliers.

OVERVIEW: These teams enter this Week 8 matchup going in opposite directions...The Chargers have lost two in a row, 31-13 last week to G-MAC leader Findlay, and 41-27 on Oct. 7 on the road versus Ohio Dominican...After an 0-5 start, Walsh has won two straight, 56-29 over Kentucky Wesleyan and 38-36 over Alderson Broaddus...The Cavaliers had scored 49 points in the season's first five games combined, but have gotten on track offensively in the past two weeks, scoring 94 points in their two wins...Hillsdale's last four opponents of the season - Walsh, Alderson Broaddus, Malone and Lake Erie - have a combined record of 5-21...Hillsdale's last four opponents have a combined record of 18-8...The Chargers have the top two total offensive yardage single-game totals in G-MAC history, both attained this season, 659 versus Kentucky Wesleyan Sept. 30 and 650 at undefeated Indianapolis Sept. 23...Charger junior Trey Brock leads the G-MAC in receiving yards per game (123.9), 13.1 more yards per game than any other receiver in the conference...Walsh's Koby Adu-Poku leads the G-MAC in average kick return yards (28.4) and was the conference's special teams player of the week last week.
