2012: A First-Team All-GLIAC linebacker for the second straight year…Emerged as one of the top middle linebackers in the conference…Second on the team with 90 total tackles and had four or more total tackles in 10 of the team’s 11 games…Matched his season-high of 14 total tackles in games aganst Malone and Northwood…Picked off four passes that covered 38 yards…Had 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks…Led the team in both quarterback hurries (four) and passed defended (six)…Earned the team’s Big Stick award following the Sept. 29 win over Northern Michigan and again after the Grand Valley State game Oct. 27…Also named the Special Teams Player of the Week Oct. 13 and the team’s Defensive Player of the Week following the season finale at Northwood…Was a One-Play Warrior and earned the E.P.E.P. Award following the Sept. 15 win over Malone…Named to the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team.

2011: Turned in a fine season in his first as a starting linebacker in 2011, being named First-Team All-GLIAC…Finished second on the team with 91 total tackles, and led the GLIAC in the regular season with 15 tackles for loss…Played a key role in the team’s 13-7 win at Michigan Tech Oct. 15 with four tackles for loss…Had two sacks against Ohio Dominican…Had at least a half-tackle for loss in nine of the team’s 11 games…Piled up a season-high 10 solo tackles against Wayne State Oct. 22…Generated three quarterback hurries and broke up three passes during the season…Intercepted his first career pass versus Grand Valley State Sept. 10.


2010: Saw his first significant playing time during the 2010 season, and responded with 20 total tackles in nine games…Had five tackle assists versus Lake Erie on Sept. 25, and had four total tackles in three other games…Will be one of the team’s emerging players at linebacker in 2011…Recovered a fumble in game at Wayne State Oct. 23.

High School: Multi-talented player for a powerful program at Liberty Benton High School…Team won its conference three times and was twice a regional champion…First-Team All-Conference quarterback and linebacker as a senior…Team MVP and set school records for tackles in a season and touchdowns in a game…Threw for 2,035 yards and accounted for 29 touchdowns in his senior season…Had 189 tackles and seven sacks in leading team to 14-1 record and state runner-up spot in 2008…Named the Division IV Ohio Defensive Player of the Year in 2009…Also earned letters in baseball…Member of the student council in 2006-07, the National Honor Society in 2008-09 and 2009-10...Born Sept. 10, 1992…Parents are Tom and Sue.
