Steven Ring Signs Pro Contract with USPBL Club

Fresh off his second All-American honor, Steven Ring is taking his baseball talents to the next level.

He's the latest Hillsdale College baseball player to sign a professional contract with a team in the United Shores Professional Baseball League, a leage based in suburban Detroit. Ring signed with the Eastside Diamond Hoppers and will begin play with that team shortly.

The USPBL is a growing independent league based out of Jimmy John's Field in Utica, located north and east of the city of Detroit. The USPBL has previously signed former Charger All-Americans Luke Ortel and Ethan Wiskur to pro contracts. Wiskur still plays in the league, and has become one of the top home run hitters for the Westside Wolly Mammoths.

Ring was a two-time All-American for Hillsdale, in 2017 and 2019, and finished his career as the program's all-time leader in home runs (53) and runs batted in (191).
